WP247 - Bastien Interval Flashcards Details
These flashcards teach intervals from a 2nd through the octave and are color coded for C major 5-finger position, 6ths, 7ths, and octaves. The cards use the same size staff and notes students are accustomed to seeing on a grand staff.

One thing the seller forgot to include in the description of this product is the fact that they are MELODIC intervals, not HARMONIC. When I ordered these, I had intentions of using them as harmonic intervals. Also, they put two intervals on each card; one on top, and one on bottom (upside down). This makes the staff very small. I would really like there to be one interval per card to make it easier to read for the students. I also don't like that the cards are color-coded. This makes it very easy for my students to estimate what the intervals will be before they even see them. Also, I would rather have more intervals that are 6ths, 7ths, and octaves. Unfortunately, only one quarter of the cards are larger intervals. I also don't like that the color-codes are by C and G positions. I would much rather have positions of ALL keys, not just 2. I'll simply have to make my own interval cards if I'm to get what I want. I am disappointed with this purchase.
